My name is Madeline Schneider. I am a senior at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bethesda, MD, and will be graduating in the class of 2024. I am currently uncommitted and continuing to explore options. My goal is to have a successful college educational experience while playing soccer at a competitive level. My college academic interests are currently in business marketing, environmental sciences and public health.
I started playing soccer when I was 5 years old. Most of my development has been with the Bethesda Soccer Club from U7 to current. Through the years, I have challenged myself to become a better player by playing in competitive environments such as the Maryland Olympic Development Program (ODP), Super Y League (SYL), Elite National Clubs League (ECNL), and Girls Academy (GA).
As a player, I have strong technical and tactical skills and a very good understanding and vision of the game. I primarily play center and outside midfield but I can play comfortably wing forward and attacking outside back. In the 2022-2023 season, I scored 7 goals and made 3 assists, helping lead my team to a third place conference finish and qualify for the Eastern Regional Conference Championships.
In addition, I am a four year starter and current captain of Stone Ridge's Varsity soccer team. I am one of the top goal scorers on my team with 5 conference goals and 4 assists, playing outside and center midfield.
My resiliency, strong work ethic, competitive nature, and determination to succeed, has guided my approach to academics, training and games. Being an athlete and attending to my rigorous high school educational demands has taught me to prioritize and manage my time effectively which I believe will help me prepare for college academics and soccer expectations.
I am tenacious, versatile, motivated, not afraid of hard work or failure, accepting of feedback to improve my game and most importantly, I am a team player. I strongly believe in teamwork and building positive relationships with my teammates on and off the field as a road to success.
Thank you for your interest and for viewing my profile. I hope to see you at one of my games!
Stay safe and healthy,
Madeline "Maddie" Schneider, #34 (#84)
