As a 10th grade student at Salisbury Christian School (SCS), I strive to succeed academically, athletically, and above all spiritually. A Christian education is the key to my success both on and off the field. I am reminded of Colossians 1: 15-20 "In All Things Christ Preeminent." My goal is to play soccer at the collegiate level in a division where God leads.
In addition to playing soccer at SCS on the varsity team, I also play on the Salisbury United Soccer Club (SUSC) Travel Team (2007 Elite Girls). I have played on an SUSC travel team for the past three years where I have sharpened my skills defensively. My current soccer coach for SCS and SUSC, Joe Tolbert has utilized me as a utility player where needed. I am able to combine speed with power and agility when playing on the pitch.
What sets me apart from other players is my ability to play multiple sports. Soccer is just one of the sports that I passionate about playing. Along with soccer, I currently play softball (i.e. travel team experience) and basketball at SCS (beginning in 6th grade) and know the importance of being a team player. Being attentive towards my teammates needs and areas where I can support them is key to the success of the team as a whole. The two character traits that define me are: strength and tenacity.
In regards to academics, I maintain a 3.7 GPA average (weighted) and am taking four honors courses: English, Chemistry, American Government, and Algebra II. I excel in both English and Math and am considering a major in Business Administration. In my community, I have been a part of the Girl Scouts since the age of five. I am currently a Senior and have earned both the Bronze and Silver Award. Giving back to my community and supporting them makes me know that I am doing God's work.
