Libby Green '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Libby Green and I am a junior, class of 2026 at Westminster High School in Westminster, MD. My goal is to be able to have a successful college experience, while also getting to play the game I love at a higher and more competitive level. Academically I am interested in studying Biology and Animal Science. I live and work on a one hundred acre grain and beef farm in New Windsor, with my parents and brother. I am also involved in 4H and raise, train, and show livestock. Ideally, I want to study Biology and Animal Sciences in order to expand my knowledge about animals, and be able to obtain a job that allows me to continue working with them throughout my life.

I started playing soccer when I was 3 years old and at age 9, I switched to travel soccer. I consider myself a strong, competitive, farm girl tough, and hardworking player, who is willing to step up and lead if given the chance. I believe a team is like a family, everyone supports each other and works together. A team with a united dynamic has more chances for success. Feedback is also very important to me. I believe that there is always room to improve and learn as a player and when given a suggestion or idea I take it and build off of it. It helps me breakdown and better understand the game of soccer.

As a defender, I am vocal towards my teammates to ensure everyone is working together and playing as one, knowing when to attack and contain is one of my main strategies.  How you choose to defend is the difference between getting beat and winning the ball. Playing smart defense and working with your teammates puts you in the right position for success!
