I have been told that I am a good member of my teams because I am a coachable player. I listen to my coaches, try hard to do what they ask and learn what they are teaching me, and ask for help when I need it. I was lucky to play on my high school varsity team as an 8th grader and learned a lot from my coach about playing as a team and playing in formation. I value this playing style and have learned to think about what I am doing when I do not have the ball as much as when I do. And I work hard to improve my on-field leadership skills with every game.
I have joined a gym and work three days a week in the off-season on strength training to get stronger and prevent injury. I work with a trainer who is also helping me improve my agility and ball skills. You can see some of my fitness highlights and personal records here: https://www.instagram.com/mols.bits.of.fitness/. I have also made changes to my eating habits that are better suited to student athletes (based on Food Guide for Women's Soccer by Gloria Averbuch and Nancy Clark RD). My goal is to continually improve myself as an athlete.
I am a good student in school and am interested in Interior Design so I am looking at colleges with good Design or Visual Art programs that also offer Mathematics and Sciences. I am committed to doing well and to managing my time between schoolwork and soccer.
