Emma Lucy '22 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer since preschool and been kicking a ball as soon as I could walk, according to my parents. I have never questioned my desire to play and every season I keep coming back wanting to play more and more. I am a dedicated player and have never missed a season, soccer has been my only constant sport in my life. I have been through my fair share of teams over the years, due to moving and changing club teams. The one thing I have learned is that community makes a  team. The teams that succeed are the ones that build each other up and take tough losses as a team, rather than individually.  I take pride in supporting my teammates and always making sure the team is making the most of practices and drills. I am a high academic student and I take pride in my grades and studies, always trying to better myself. 

I am receptive to any coaching styles as every coach has a different way to play and field a team! I love being able to incorporate my abilities into a team  dynamic and way of play. I am quick on my feet and love supplying my teammates from crosses at the corner flags. My height adds in an advantage as I can reach 50/50 balls with ease. Throughout my soccer career, I have played all over the field and have always found my way back to midfield. I am a utility player and have experience in all positions but more so than not I find myself placed by coaches in forward or midfield positions.
