2 years old. My mother signed me up for mommy and me gymnastics, thats where my athletic career began. Both my older sister and mom played soccer growing up so it was no surprise to also quickly enrolled me in soccer. From day 1 I knew it was the sport I most wanted to pursue especially after trying about every sport out there. From swim team, to horse back riding, etc, I chose soccer. It provided just the right amount of aggression and skill in the same game. I have always been driven as my entire childhood revolved around my health. My parents raised our family all organic and enrolled us in everysport out there. They always said it was a long term investment that we would one day thank them for. I said I just wish I was allowed to eat some goldfish. But aside from eating healthy, working out has never been an issue for me. If I have a goal I never lose sight of it which only fuels my determination. And as they always say "you never regret a workout". Which is something I always carry to those training sessions I dont wanna go to or the second practice of a double session day. Soccer became more than just a workout though. It became the reason my family came and visited on the weekends, it became the reason I was up late doing homework, it became who I am. I suffered a injury my club season of junior year, I was out of both soccer and lacrosse for 5 months. And I never had so badly yearned for the field. It was all I thought about, the feeling after a great game, the adrenaline during a close one. It quickley showed me that I am not yet ready to be done with this sport. Which is why I reach out to you coaches in hope that somebody is willing to take a chance on a non ecnl player who has drive and is willing to do anything for a shot.
