Jillian Spinali '23 Recruiting Profile

    From the second I stepped onto the field at age 4 to now, soccer has been a huge part of my life. Growing up in a small town like Stoneham is easy when you and your best friends share a common interest, and for my friends and I that interest was soccer. I became teammates with girls who I now view as family making all the late practices and early games worth it. And playing with these girls has absolutely been one of my biggest influences as both a player and person. As I get older and reminisce on my childhood my most valuable memories revolve around the sport. For instance, going to finals every year with my town trace team; or getting opportunities to travel to states I have never been to before with my club team all added to my love for the sport. Both my strengths and weaknesses have became prominent while playing. I love the serotonin this sport gives me, and consider myself a kind and dedicated teammate. In school I always do my best and try to assist my classmates when they need it. Currenly I am part of Stoneham’s Student Council,Youth Action Coalition, Foreign Language Club, Chess Club, and Peer Leaders grou. I enjoy writing, baking, and someday hope to travel as a way to learn about different places and cultures. A big part of who I am also comes from my family, my older brother inspires me to spread positivity, my older sister has taught me never be afraid to have a different opinion as those around you, and my parents helped me realize that you will only be rewarded from hard work. I aspire to take all the things that make me who I am to college where I hope I can grow as a person, student, and teammate.
