Michelina Follis '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Michelina Follis. I am currently going into my sophomore year at Northeast Metro Vocational School in Wakefield, MA and will graduate in 2024.  I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old for Saugus Youth Soccer as well as my club team FC Padova since I was 7 years old.

I started playing Varsity-Level Soccer when I was 12 years old as a 7^th grader for Pioneer Charter School of Science 2 in Saugus, MA. In each season at Pioneer, I was nominated for all-conference honors and was 8^th and 4^th in the league in scoring respectively. My 8^th grade season, I was appointed to Captain which was a great learning experience for me. In 9^th grade I transferred to the Northeast Metro Vocational School in Wakefield, MA. Due to COVID, the season was pushed back to Fall 2 (Feb-Apr) where I made the Varsity Soccer Team and was named starting attacking midfielder. I scored 5 goals and had 17 assists during my freshman season.

I lead by example and have always tried to set a good example for everyone on the team by through hard work. I mostly play attacking midfielder, but also play forward when needed. My right foot is my strongest, but I can strike the ball with my left as well. My biggest strengths are my field vision, quickness, burst in small spaces, physicality and my overall soccer IQ.

I take my studies seriously and I am in all honors classes and will be taking AP classes my sophomore year. My GPA for my freshman year was 3.5 and I will be taking HVAC for my shop moving forward.

I believe that I have the skills and attitude to make an impact and play at the college level and I am working to make the most of my High School playing opportunities and growing as a player.
