Hello and thank you for viewing my profile! My name is Joanie Butler and I am a senior at Woburn Memorial High School, where I play for both the Varsity team. I also play club for SFC New England 004/05. My freshman and sophomore years I played for my high school's JV A & B teams, whereas during my junior year I played half and half for JV and Varsity. Before joining SFC, I also played for GPS Metro North Elite. My preferred positions are Center Attacking Midfield or Center Defensive Attacking Midfield, but I am also comfortable playing out wide and up top as well.
I've been playing soccer ever since I was allowed to when I was five years old. Since then, the sport has shaped my life into what it is now. When I was in middle school I began watching professional European soccer, like FC Barcelona and Chelsea, which I believe helped develop my playing ability even further. Soccer has always been a lifeline for me, which is why I want to continue playing in college. I'm looking a team that is a fun and friendly group to be around, but also that takes soccer as seriously as I do. I've never been on the best teams that wins every tournament or league, but no matter the record I always put my best foot forward and try my absolute hardest for myself, my coaches, and my teammates.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to view my profile and I can't wait to see what the future has in store!
