My name is Ava Buhlman. I am 17 years old and a junior at Allendale High School. I am an attacking midfielder for the Michigan Fire Juniors 2005 Elite NLC & SCNL team. I have been with MFJ for 5 years and have served the last 3 years as a captain. My team recently won the 2021 MSYSA State Cup. This spring will be the 3rd year on my high school varsity soccer team. This summer I will be playing my 2nd year in Super Y.
In the classroom, I bring the same determination and hard work as I do on the field. I currently hold a 4.0 GPA and am ranked 9th in my class. I am a National Honors Society and Student Council member. I also participate in high school cross country, basketball, and track.
My goal is to find a college that will challenge me both academically and athletically. Sports have been a huge part of my life and upbringing. Participating and succeeding in sports have given me confidence that benefits me both on and off the field. I feel that my involvement in athletics has made me a better student. I thrive on a structured schedule. Soccer has always been my number one passion. I would love to continue playing at the collegiate level and hope that I am afforded the opportunity to do so.
