Hi my name is Avery Masch and I have been playing soccer ever since I can remember. My main position is center back and I do the best that I can to lead and communicate with my team from a position where I can see the whole field. My secondary positions include outside back and forward (mainly winger). I like these two positions because I am more able to release and showcase my speed. I have a big leg so throughout my years playing soccer I have taken the majority of the corners and free kicks. One of the biggest accomplishments I have had so far has been that I missed the cut off by one person to be all state in grade 9.
I will always work hard on and off the field. I am someone who is not afraid to get aggressive and dirty. The wins, losses, work, pain, discomfort, it's all a part of the game and I thrive in every minute of it.
Unfortunately, towards the beginning of my club season sophomore year, I tore my ACL. I had surgery end of November 2022 and as of now (end of September) I am just starting to slowing get back into everything. I have every expectation of fully healing and being back better and stronger than ever on the field. Yes, this is a major setback, but I want to take soccer even farther than I possibly can.
Thank you,
Ave Masch
