My long term aspiration is to find a college that best suits my skill level in soccer, has strong academics, and can help me grow into a successful young adult. I believe that the most important thing to look for in a college is how well the college, coaches, and students can interact and blend with each athletes different personality, as harmonizing with potential colleges is imperative to how well an athlete can preform. I feel as if I could be a strong candidate for any team due to having the three P's; Patience, Perseverance, and Persistence. I have shown these multiple ways; my perseverance through extensive training, persistence through fighting to become a sophomore on a Varsity soccer team, and patience through having to care for my mother as she recovered from brain surgery. Off of the court, I enjoy playing high school and club basketball and equestrian, reading, painting, running, biking, participating in students against society's standards, being the creator and president of the DHS photography club, and being an assistant coach to 7-10 year old children teaching soccer.
Academics are an essential part of my life. I have spent countless hours pushing my hardest to excel in school. I am interested in majoring in Science through my college years, more specifically, along the lines of biology, chemistry, and maybe even zoology. I have discovered a new passion of mine within the past year and may also want to pursue sociology. I am very passionate when it comes to trying to further the advancement of society, and studying the art of life. In the summer of 2017, I worked during the summer of my sophomore year as an assistant scientist at the University of Michigan. I am currently working to gain my IB diploma when I graduate by being enrolled in all IB classes. I believe that a mixture of athletics and academics is the fundamental to building a strong, determined, and passionate character.
