My name is Joselyn Paskvan and I am going to be a Junior at Hamilton High School, graduating in 2026.
I started playing soccer when I was 3 years old and have had a love for the game ever since. I have played every position at some point in my soccer career, but during my freshman and sophomore year of varsity soccer and current club team, I usually play Striker and Attacking Mid; I am willing to contribute to the team's success anywhere on the field and fill any role that my team needs me to (I love the game that much).
My work ethic and tough mental mindset have allowed me to achieve high academic (currently have a GPA of 3.99) and athletic achievements (was voted top 5 of the female athletes in all of high school, and was the only freshman to make that list). I believe that these attributes will allow me to make positive contributions to any college soccer program.
I play soccer year-round and have for the past 8 years. I play at the club level in the fall, as well as a session of indoor league during the winter to keep up the touches. Then I play for my high school during the spring season (previously I played with the club in the spring, prior to 8th grade).
I also enjoy springboard diving and have done that sport since 6th grade. My dad coached at the college level for 16 years and now coaches me in the varsity program at my high school. Lastly, I have played basketball competitively since elementary school as well. I was moved up to the JV team as a freshman and was brought up to varsity for Districts. During my sophomore year I played with the Varsity program. Being a 3-sport athlete while maintaining good grades has been challenging but also been good for me to learn how to balance all of life's priorities.
My faith is an important aspect of my life and continues to make a positive impact on my choices. I'm involved in youth group at a local church and volunteer at the same church often to fill needs as they arise.
I want to play soccer at a college where I feel I can meet my future career goals and continue to push myself athletically. I'm open to playing at any college level where I find the school to be the best fit for me, although I would love to achieve the highest level of competition. In closing, I'd like to continue to be a positive role model for other people and to make my parents proud.
