There is no doubt that my character on and off the field has developed from discipline, motivation, perseverance, and a strong mindset. From an early age I have had the gift of always knowing that hard work and a positive attitude result in success. These traits make me an exceptional candidate to be a part of college academics, as well as collegiate soccer. Both of my parents are elementary school teachers. This has definitely played a very important role in preparing me for my future responsibilities in college and further in life.
In my academic life I take school very seriously and have always had excellent grades. Being able to learn is a privilege, therefore, I try to soak up as much as I can from each school subject. My strong interest in English/Language Arts and Science, along with a forever passion for sports has led me to my dream of becoming a sports medicine doctor or a sports broadcaster. Setting big goals gives me energy and excitement to stay committed to doing my best.
My whole life I have been surrounded by athletics. Competitive and collegiate sports are a huge part of my family. Not only do I play soccer, but I also play recreational golf, tennis and volleyball. Through these activities, I have gained life knowledge, amazing friendships, as well as positive health/fitness habits. One of the most important lessons I have learned along way is to never be too satisfied with my ability or performance. There is always room for improvement and there will be setbacks. I am willing to work through them and overcome to achieve a better outcome. As a goalie, it is my responsibility to be a strong leader and have a strong presence on the field. With both actions and words, I communicate well with my teammates. There is no doubt I am always willing and enthusiastic about becoming a better player by receiving and implementing the coach's instruction.
I am very excited about my future as a student athlete in college. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me as a person and potential recruit. Sincerely, Hope Pierfelice
