I was first introduced to soccer through our community recreation program at the age of six and transitioned to club soccer at U8. At U10, my love of soccer solidified following a tournament win. At that moment, I realized I loved the competition and close relationships developed with my teammates. Soccer has taught me discipline in life. I have learned to handle the challenges of juggling multiple sports while maintaining a strong grade point average. The competitive aspect of soccer has taught me to continually challenge myself on and off the field.
The majority of my soccer career was spent with a team who all resided in the same strong knit community. We grew up together and shared many life moments. One of the biggest challenges I faced was leaving my team to join a new team who played at a more competitive level. I knew this was required to position myself for more opportunities in the future. Academically, I am preparing to study engineering (biomedical) and have structured my high school courses towards engineering. Ideally, I would like to find a college that provides my academic requirements and offers a competitive soccer program.
