Personal Statement

I am a junior at The Blake School, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Blake School is a rigorous, nationally ranked college preparatory school that was recently named a top 100 STEM High School by Newsweek.

I have been playing soccer for over 12 years, and can't imagine it not being part of my daily life. It's provided me with discipline, fitness, and lifelong friends. My primary position is defensive midfielder, however I am a versatile player who also plays attacking midfield, outside midfielder, or defender. In addition to competitive travel soccer, I have been a high school varsity starter for three years.

Outside of soccer I am a member of the St. Jude Club (volunteer), the school newspaper, a varsity lacrosse manager, and volunteer for several other organizations. I have been elected as co-chair of our school's St. Jude Club next year.
