Hello, My name is Alayna Brazil. I have been playing soccer for only 6 years now, in the 2022 fall season of soccer was made the captain of my high school varsity team in Jordan, as well as being on what was also recently changed to a 17u premier team with the Shakopee soccer association. Unfortunately, at the start of my winter 2022 season I tore my ACL and have had surgery. Currently I am back after almost a year of rehab and getting stronger for my Senior Season.
In those five years, this sport has become something I not only take seriously but also have learned so much from and have grown from as a person with every experience I am put through. Not only have these experiences helped me in the sport with leadership and teamwork, but also outside of soccer, it has changed my life greatly. My injury especially has showed me a different side of what i’m capable of and what I want to do later in life, as well what difference I can make from the sidelines.
Soccer had become a huge passion along with sports in general because I have always had sport in my life. Which is the reason for wanting to go into Emergency Medical Services(EMS) to still have that athletic and leadership aspect in my life wherever soccer takes me from now on. Also furthering my interests in becoming a paramedic, and keeping me on my toes as well making an impact in a different way.
