Samantha McCorkle '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Samantha McCorkle, though most call me Sam. A 2026 graduate from Blaine High School, I proudly hold the role as striker my club team, TSA - TwinStars Academy - in Maple Grove, MN. I currently play on the 09/08 and the 08/07 teams. I have been on the JV team both as a freshman and sophomore.  I have been playing competitive soccer for seven years.  Notably, I represented Granite City in the UPSL league in 2023 and TSA in the 2024 and future seasons. As the top scorer for both JV and TSA teams, along with tying for the top spot with Granite City, I've consistently showcased my scoring ability on the field.

My love for soccer extends beyond mere competition; it's the rhythmic flow of the game that truly captivates me. The synchronized movements between players and the ball create a dance, where harmony is achieved through perfect coordination. In coaching, I value directness and focus on skill enhancement to push my abilities to new heights.

I have also played basketball for five years and track for two years. For track I have ran in the 100, 200, and 400 meter races, the 1 mile(1600), the 2 mile(3600) and the 4x400. I also do private training to further my soccer ability along with weight training, conditioning and speed training.

In academics, my interests lean towards science.  While taking AP courses this year and next, I'm also started taking PSEO (Post Secondary Education Opportunity) classes at my local community college next year. I believe it is important to further my academic pursuits alongside my athletic endeavors.
