Claire Olson '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello, My name is Claire Olson. I attend Stewartville High School in Minnesota as a student and an athlete. I've been playing soccer since I was five, and am currently playing goalie for my high school varsity and club team. I’ve previously played defense during the time I was playing JV. I am a team player, I think of the team first instead of my own ambitions. I first started playing goalie around four years ago, and now it's just stuck with me. 

I’m always looking for opportunities to improve. I'm very open to new ideas and that's a reason why I believe I'm easy to coach. I'm creative and also bring different ideas to the table as well. I'm also a good teammate. I like to connect deeply with my teammates and make sure that they can trust me. As a goalie, I believe that I need to be a leader both on and off of the field. On the field, I can keep my composure and I don't let mistakes go to my head. I'm accountable, and I also hold others accountable as well. At the end of this school season, I was voted team co-captain for the fall of 2022. I was also selected for the All-Conference team. I’ve played volleyball, softball, and basketball. Now, I am a part of track and field along with soccer.

Currently, I have a 3.75 GPA and I'm taking College Literature and College Algebra in my junior year. I am involved in the arts. I participate in marching band, concert band, pep band, and choir. I'm motivated to get good grades and further my academic career.
