As I have come closer to the end of my high school journey, I have asked myself many times, "Adayah, what in the world do you really want to do with your life?! What do you truly see yourself doing?!" The two things that KEEP coming to mind are my love for soccer and my fascination with the medical field. I have loved the game of soccer ever since I was introduced to the game by my dad and my two older brothers. I remember watching the World Cup at a young age, and immediately I was drawn in. I was awestruck by the agility of the players and their determination to win as they gave their all on the field, and I knew I wanted to be like that. Similarly, my love for the medical field sparked early on from my love of helping others. As a young child, I was the person who ALWAYS tried to do things to make others feel better. As I matured through high school, I realized that I could marry these two disciplines by pursuing a major in Exercise Science or Kinesiology. My goal is to one day become a Physical Therapist so that I can positively impact the rehabilitation process of injured athletes. I feel that my work ethic and leadership abilities will allow me to be a great asset to any sports program or collegiate family. I am no stranger to hard work, and my goal is to add strength to any team that I play on or college that I attend, which is why I give 100% on the field and in the classroom as well. I understand the necessity of balancing athletics and academics because I know that academics are an extremely important component. I ALWAYS want to do my absolute best which is part of the reason why I have maintained a 4.0 GPA or higher while playing soccer, volleyball, and tennis throughout my high school career. Additional qualities that set me apart from other recruits are my approachability, optimism, and communication skills. I love building partnerships with my team, coaches, and peers, and I feel like my friendly, positive disposition makes this possible. I realize that I am not perfect, but I am always willing to improve!
