Hello, my name is Elizabeth Clawson and I play for the AFA Fillies Bacott 2004 team in St. Louis, MO. I have played soccer year round ever since I was a little kid and club soccer for the last 8 years. I love soccer because of the beauty of the game, the adrenaline and competition, and the community that comes with being apart of a team. I play and start for my club team during the Summer, Fall, and Winter and for my Varsity high school team in the Spring. I primarily play wing forward/center forward, but I can also play center/attacking midfield. Some of my strengths are creating plays by sending through balls, footwork and technical skills, and creating space and taking shots. I love scoring goals but also making assists and am comfortable being vocal with my teammates in order to communicate with and encourage them.
As far as academics go I work very hard in school and make my education a priority. I currently hold a 4.78 weighted/4.23 unweighted GPA and take AP english, history, Spanish, and math classes. I will serve my class and school as a student council officer for the fourth year, and I am a member of the National Honor Society. Though I am still unsure exactly what I want to study in college, there are several things I enjoy that I see being potential careers. I am interested in teaching, coaching, law, and I thoroughly enjoy writing and business as well.
Besides soccer I also play field hockey. I have been playing field hockey for 9 years for both club teams and my school team. I am a varsity starter for my school’s team during the Fall season while also playing club soccer. Though I enjoy playing field hockey and have considered playing at a higher level, soccer is ultimately my true passion and what I hope to pursue.
Overall I am a very competitive and hardworking person with aspirations of playing college soccer. I love leading, learning, and playing soccer and hope to continue doing so while attending college. Thank you!
