The evaluation from my club coach is a good overview of me as a player (below). I have a passion for the game and am willing to work hard to reach the highest level I can.
Avery is a natural box-to-box central midfielder (#8) who can run for days. Her willingness to provide support up and down the field, distribute the ball accurately and break lines of defense on the dribble/pass makes her a core component to our build-up play and attack. Avery is also willing to do the dirty work on defense. She presses quickly to limit an opponent’s ability to play forward through the middle. If they do break our press, Avery tracks back and puts in a good tackle. Avery has played in the 2 or 3 position when the opponent has a particularly strong winger that needs to be neutralized. Avery is conscientious, always concerned about where we are exposed and proactively covering to mitigate the danger. She continues to develop her voice and is becoming a strong leader on and off the field. She is a joy to coach. She shows up every day ready to train and to use what she has learned. She has a positive, “yes I can”, attitude that infects those around her.
I work hard in the classroom. I'm not a naturally gifted student but still maintain a 4.0 GPA. I know good grades and a college education will get me to where I want to go in the future, so I'm willing to put in the time and effort to be exceptional in the classroom.
