Janay Lopez '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Janay Lopez. I am 14 years old and currently a freshman attending Slam Academy of Nevada. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. i live with my mom, dad, and younger brother. I have an older sister who is currently attending Hawaii Pacific University on a soccer scholarship. Having an older sister who plays college soccer has definitely influenced me. soccer has always been in my life. It also has played a huge role.  As a little girl I grew up on the soccer fields. I would watch my sister play for a countless amount of hours and never got tired of it. I played recreational soccer for about 4 years before i knew i was ready to move to the next level. I have been playing competitive soccer for almost 4 years now and I absolutely love it! My current club soccer team is LVPSA. my coach, Doron Irungaray is an outstanding coach and has played an amazing role in molding my defensive skills on the field. As i grow older I would like to become a pediatric surgeon. Helping others in need and spending time with children has always been an ideal thing for me. School is also very important to myself and my family. I am a hard worker and I am very dedicated to everything I set my mind to! Getting into college while playing the sport that I love the most is an absolute dream for my parents and I. I am incredibly grateful for everything God has blessed me with. And I can not wait to see what the future holds for me.
