I have been playing soccer since I was in second-grade, but I didn’t play at a high level until I moved to New Hampshire. After playing two years of middle-school soccer, I made varsity as a freshman, surprising both me and my family. Ever since I have been a three-season varsity athlete, meaning I haven’t had time to focus on soccer as much as I would’ve liked to. However, as I continued playing soccer I realized that soccer is truly a passion of mine that I would love to continue in college.
Being one of two freshmen on a varsity team was a learning experience, teaching me that persistence and hustle is the way to increase your playing time. I constantly give 100% in practice and games, meaning that my sophomore year I was rewarded with a starting spot. My junior year my team won the championship and graduated eight seniors, so this year as a senior captain I had big shoes to fill. With the loss of so much talent my fellow captain and I focused on maintaining good chemistry through communication on and off the field. I believe I would be an excellent addition to any team due to my skills, passion, and work ethic.
