As a student athlete I wake up everyday striving to be a better person, student and athlete. I do everything within the classroom and on the field to my best ability always giving 100 percent. I work hard everyday to maintain good grades and to become a better athlete. I have played soccer since I was able to walk, spending hours outside after school when I was little to this date with a ball at my feet pushing myself to be better. I take leadership very seriously in the classroom and on the field. In school I am a High honors/Honors student, a part of the National Honor Society, Vice President of our class and a part of our schools S.A.L.T (Student Athletic Leadership Team). I hold myself at the highest standards knowing I am a role model for others and I want to inspire them to work hard as well. I have been very successful within my three years of soccer so far at Hinsdale high school. I have been a captain since my sophomore year, received multiple awards including Coaches award my freshman year, MVP my sophomore year and the Micheal Abbot award my Junior year, which is a very honorable award within Hinsdale athletics. Outside of soccer I also play basketball and softball, I play indoor soccer for another school in the winter because Hinsdale does not offer a team and I also play AAU basketball. I am always trying to keep myself busy while also bettering myself at the same time. When I am not playing a sport or working on school work I am in the gym. I take my physical health very seriously, so I am constantly lifting, running, and working on agility to become the best athlete and in the best physical shape I can be. I am very involved within our school and held at a very high standard, but I am very appreciative of this because it helps motivate me every single day. What would make me a good candidate for a college soccer team would be the leadership skills I can bring to teams, the ability to make connections with teammates but also push them to become better everyday. I feel as though I am different from other recruits because I do not give up, I will do whatever it takes and what I can to become better, I am never content with my game because I know I can always do something better. I love constructive criticism and a coach that will tell me what I can work on and do better so I can always be improving. I take what I do within our community, school and on the field very seriously and that on top of family is always my main priority. I am very excited to be able to extend my learning and game somewhere outside of hinsdale and work with people in the classroom and on the field who push me everyday to be better.
