Without soccer I would not be the person that I am today. The sport has encouraged me to push myself everyday. After making my town's travel team at a young age, I kept striving to be better in order to make the A team. I started later than other kids due to some medical issues at a young age, but I remained determined to get to the same level as everyone else. As the years went on, eventually I was able to move up to the next level of competition, and then on to the next, until the point of high level competition that I am grateful to play at today.
Along with my work ethic, I believe a strength of mine is my ability to work well with others. One of my favorite parts of the game is the important role that teamwork plays. Every time I step onto the field, I am excited to work with the players around me. Off the field, I enjoy spending time with my teammates and getting to know them better.
Academics are also extremely important to me. I take as much pride in my school work as I do in my soccer playing. I want to be a successful student in college and adult in my life afterwards. It is my goal to study filmmaking or some other form of communication and media in college. In the future, I want to be able to tell stories that inspire others.
