I envision my college years as a time for growth to meet my highest potential.I will be exploring a health science major to best prepare myself for medical school. It has been a dream of mine to enlist in the army after I graduate, to become an Army doctor. On the field, I have a natural confidence and drive.I am looking to take my soccer career to the collegiate level where I can showcase my skills and learn from the best!
Having to step away from soccer my freshman year due to medical reasons was one of the hardest things i’ve had to do.My dreams of playing at the collegiate level seemed to be far out of reach. One of the most memorable moments of my life was stepping back out on the field as a varsity player my junior year. After having a major setback I felt far behind my teammates and peers but I used this to reignite my passion and motivation for the sport i’ve always loved. It took a lot to overcome the self doubt but in the end, I know what i’m capable of,I know my strengths, and I know my hard work and training will pay off.I started soccer at age 3.Honestly,at first it didn’t seem like the sport for me.This was until my coach put me in goal.Funny story, I was placed in goal as a punishment for being a bit too aggressive. It turned out being a goalkeeper was meant for me.I was fast, aggressive, and had natural leadership and communication skills.Almost 13 years later and my passion for soccer has only grown.
