As my 2023 graduation year approaches, I think back on the years that I have been playing, since I was 6 years old, and I absolutely love the game. Every high school athlete that aspires to play in college will likely be saying the same thing. What I believe makes me different is that I also watch a lot of soccer which, I believe, gives me a high soccer IQ and gets me to the next level. You are only on the ball for a few minutes throughout the entire match. It’s what you do off the ball that makes you stand out. I’m a fast finishing forward/AM who knows how to read the game. I am always 100% dedicated to the game through the full 90 minutes, regardless of the score. Soccer doesn’t need to be fancy, it takes a team to win a game and not just a single player. Play simple, play together to get the ball in the back of the opponent’s net and defend your team’s goal.
