As a high honor roll student, I am hoping to be able to pursue my interlinked passions for mathematics, psychology, science and business (not sure how to tie it all in yet!!) at a school where students value learning and high academic achievement. I seek a school that is socially conscious, academically oriented and where there are smart, driven students helping each other thrive in the classroom and on the court.
After spending a wonderful and successful freshman year at an all-girls boarding school (Emma Willard School in Troy, NY), I decided that there were opportunities outside of the boarding world that I wanted to explore. Therefore, I am attending my local public high school, Lakeland Regional, for my remaining years of high school. These two vastly different environments has allowed me to gain perspective on specifically what type of college I desire- a campus where everyone respects everyone, embraces diversity, has a passion for success and believes in giving back by serving the community.
While at Emma I was the only freshman to make the Emma Willard Varsity Volleyball team (Section 2 Wasaren league, Class B NY). I was also voted Class President, selected as an Admissions Tour Guide and competed on both indoor and outdoor Varsity Track.
At Lakeland I am Court Captain of the Girl's Varsity Volleyball team and I am a member of DECA (won 1st place District) and on the leadership council for LEAP (Leaders Encouraging Adolescent Progress), I triple, long and high jump for Varsity Track (making 2nd team All County and All Conference 2019 outdoor track, 1st team All County and All Conference Indoor 2020 Indoor Track). Outside of school, besides playing club Volleyball for SideOut Sports on the 17- Allie National team, I am an Ambassador for GenHERation and volunteer with Southern Paws, placing dogs from kill shelters with forever homes.
I have been playing volleyball for school and club since 7th grade. Prior to playing volleyball I was a competitive gymnast for 5 years, beginning at age 6 and competing on both USAG then JOGA (Jersey Optional Gymnastics Association). Sports has always played a huge part in my life and I learned, early on, how to successfully balance school work with practice, volunteering, family time and fun with friends.
Besides my absolute love and enthusiasm for the sport of volleyball, you can be assured that I will bring to a college team responsibility, reliability, leadership, drive, passion for winning, a great attitude, adaptability and the ability to be coached.
My motto for life, on and off the court, is Be Kind, Be Fair, Be Responsible.
