Justin Gold '21 Recruiting Profile

My love for lacrosse is insatiable. I think about lacrosse from the time I wake up until the time I go to sleep.

My name is Justin Gold. I am a 2021 Goalie from Ringwood, NJ. I have been playing lacrosse since 4th grade and it has been a passion of mine ever since. My goal is to play lacrosse at the highest level I could and go to a good academic institution. As a goalie, I am a leader on the field. I always encourage my teammates and try to increase team morale. I believe teams are more successful when everyone is getting along. I am a team first player. I am a very vocal goalie, I am always talking to the defense to ensure that there are no communication eras and every one slides at the right time. I am very strong in between the pipes. I have very fast hands and great reflexes. I use my 6'01'' frame to cover the goal. I am very quick to save shots on all spots of the goal. In the clearing game, I like to push transition. I am calm on the clear and get the ball out fast and still make smart play. I am not afraid to leave the goal and I am very dynamic out of the cage with getting ground balls and running the ball up the field myself.

I am very academically focused. I have a 3.8 GPA and plan on getting a MBA and attending law school after college. I am an honor roll student and I take honors and AP classes. This summer I am taking college classes at a local college and next school year I am doing dual enrollment and taking college courses half day.

Outside of lacrosse I am a defensive linemen in football, I am a 2nd degree black belt in Hapkido, and a 1st degree Blackbelt in Kuhapdo which is sword fighting. I am a member of many school clubs. I am in DECA, Future Business Leaders of America, and SWAP (Peer Counseling). I also volunteer at a special needs day camp on the weekends.
