For this 2017-2018 season, I am playing on PDA's ECNL team STORM. Currently my coach has me playing as Center Back even though I've never played as a defender, because he says I am coach able and learn quickly. I start and play the majority of the game so I am happy to be on the field while learning to become a more versatile player. During the summer of 2017, I attended the Johns Hopkins residential camp and was ranked as the 2nd strongest player in my group and played in the finals with my group.
I play Varsity Soccer for Westfield High School in NJ which is currently ranked #3 in the state. This season as a sophomore, I was the only starting sophomore and scored the lone winning goal to beat our town rivals Scotch Plains for the first time since 2008. (Video is posted of the play/goal). I also scored the lone goal to beat Cranford in a OT game that was 0-0. We won county finals this year and made it to the finals in states. We lost in sudden death PK's. I was awarded with 1st team all county, 1st team all conference and an honorable mention for all state. In total I had 9 goals and 6 assists.
I started playing soccer when I was in kindergarten in my town's Fun of Soccer program. In 3rd grade when trying out for the town's travel team I was moved to trying out with the boys. I ranked 3rd in the tryouts out of 50 boys and was the first and only girl in my town to play on the boys travel A team for 2 years before the WSA moved me to the girls team starting in 6th grade. I played and started on the girls A team and in my first season, scored 20 goals. We won the NJMCYSA flight each year I was on the team. I've loved soccer ever since I can remember and my personal goal is to play in college.
Before suddenly passing away, my Dad's goal was to watch me play soccer in college. Knowing that helps me to stay committed to my goals and focused in wanting to play college soccer. I am open to play in any division and for the best college that fits. In the winter I play Varsity Basketball for my high school and am currently leading in rebounds and in the top 4 with points made. Playing another sport keeps me conditioned and fit all year, besides the fact that I enjoy playing basketball!
Thank you for taking the time to learn about me.
