AVERY THIEMAN '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Avery Thieman, I am going into my Junior year at Mayfield HS in Las Cruces NM.  My plan is to attend college and play soccer. When it comes to soccer, I like to think of myself as a utility player.  My main position is a defensive wing, although I have played all positions on the soccer field.  I feel the best compliment given to me was by my club coach, describing me as a "Swiss Army Knife".  I strive to learn the positions and try to give 110% no matter where I am on the pitch to support the needs of the team.   I have many interests in what I want to do after soccer and college.  One of those interests is to be a sports broadcaster, or as my family says "the token blonde on the sideline."  I enjoy playing and watching sports and I feel I have a great understanding and love for them.  I work hard to maintain grades while I participate in high school athletics and activities.  Giving it all you got and being coachable is what I aim for every day!
