2021 Highlights Personal Statement
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. My love for soccer began at the age of four. By the age of six I was strictly a goalkeeper and that position has shaped me as a person academically and athletically If I’m not tending goal I actually feel like a part of me is missing.
Being a goalkeeper has taught me how to remain focused both on the field and in school. It also allowed me to build my confidence. I’ve learned to be sure of myself when making decisions and when a mistake is made I don’t let it shake me up. I simply listen to what needs to be learned and fix the mistake.
The skills I’ve learned as a goalkeeper have and will continue to my academic success. As well of now, my interest lies in pursuing a degree in physical therapy and Spanish.
