I will be the first in my family to go to college. I live with my mother with a handicap problem. She is the only one who supports the family.
I have no trouble in school and I enjoy to be challenged. I even take College Now classes at Lehman College in order to prepare myself for the next steps in my future.
My goal in life is not to make a great amount of money but to enjoy my career and job. To have the necessary things in life. I know this way I will take my mom out of working.
I have played soccer for 4 years so far. I want to play college soccer since I know after college there will not be anytime for me to play. A turning point in my soccer experience was when I met Coach Daniel. There are many people in life that have helped me find myself but as a coach he helped me become more confident with myself as a player. There were moments when I didn’t get involved in the game since I didn’t talk with my teammates. I wasn’t in any group and felt as if I was invisible. But in just one season of playing with a coach like him I was able to play and move from defense to midfielder or even forward. I can now say I’m more confident as a player and person. Also through that experience I helped unite the team together and work as an actual team. We went from last place in the league to third place against very tough teams.
