To tell the truth, my sister was the one to help start my soccer career at the age of 4. She actually led all my siblings to play the sport, but I am the one who connected with it the most. I am definitely not the most communicative off the field, like in class or with peers, but when I get on the field I make sure that I can lead my team with my voice and actions. I may point and yell to do this to make sure whoever I am talking to can hear me. I respect my team greatly, and they do the same for me.
Roughly eight years ago I was recruited to join a new girls’ club team for Krajisnik FC (formerly Krajisnik SC) and continue to play on that same team. A few years later I was asked to join Syracuse Development Academy (SDA), which I did for about 2 years in addition to my Krajisnik team. In the fall of 2019, I tried out for and was added to the Olympic Development Program (ODP) team in Eastern NY. Unfortunately, the pandemic kept us from playing and so we did some training virtually. This past fall of 2021, I was the youngest player to be named to the NYS All Section 3 Team, Class C, and was also named as a Section 3 Girls Soccer League All-Star, CSC, Class D, First Team.
I am very dedicated, not only to soccer, but the other activities in which I participate. I have played softball, run track and play basketball, and split my time as best I can between the sports, though soccer has always been my priority. I also take recreational dance (acrobatics and ballet) to keep me limber, flexible and balanced. I participate in Jazz Band, and was elected Band Treasurer and Class Representative for my Sophomore class. And I enjoy reading and hiking. The one thing I put above all else is religion. I go to church every week. If I can't make it, I watch it on TV and/or read Bible verses. Before COVID, I even helped my priest during mass as an Altar Server.
Academically, in sports or other activities, I always give 100%. My goal is to be successful academically in college, while continuing to play soccer. I would also like to work on asking for help when I need it and being more outgoing.
