Lily Malott '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lily Malott and I have been playing club soccer for the past 9 years as a goalkeeper.  I am left foot dominant.  My parents and coaches tell me I am fearless!  I also am good at not letting it get in my head if someone scores on me.  I love being part of a team atmosphere and my coach/team tell me that they value the way that I talk and guide them on the field.  I have played at the state level twice for ODP and I am currently on the state team for ODP for Ohio and was chosen to compete for the Midwest team for ODP this year.  I have trained with Chad Prickett from Columbus Goalkeeper academy for the past 4 years and previously with Giovanni Salinas.  I am currently the goalkeeper for Columbus United Girls Academy Team.

I had to take about 8 months off of soccer due to a knee injury but even though I was told it would take a year to recover, I was cleared to come back much quicker because I was determined and missed soccer so much!  I have been told that I have come back way better than I was before my injury and I feel so much more confident!  My injury made me realize even more how much I enjoy soccer and can’t imagine doing anything else!

I love soccer and enjoy learning more about the game!  I have tried other sports such as basketball, volleyball, track, and softball but it was always soccer ultimately for me.  My goals for the future are to play soccer in college while I get my degree.
