My love for soccer started when I was five years old. Winning the district championship with my high school team was one of my best experiences as a team member, a goalie, and a personal achievement; I hoped we would go all the way to the state championships. My team and I had an undefeated season with only two ties leading to sectionals, we lost in the second half of sudden death, that loss although difficult made me realize I was capable of so much more. My goals in high school are to graduate as a good student, athlete, friend, listener and to become one who helps others. I hope to carry that on by going into nursing or psychology.
My team and I are like family, learning, growing, challenging each game, and when we win or lose it is amazing how we set out to be the best version of ourselves. Through the years of playing soccer and several other sports, I have learned that dedication, hard work, time, and teamwork is the best thing I can put in to become better for myself and my team.
My biggest soccer challenge was in my sophomore year I was invited to play with the development academy (DA) and that meant I couldn’t play for high school. Playing for the DA was an honor and I was ready. However, it was 2020 and my hopes of playing at a high level did not happen, it also meant I missed playing sophomore year in high school. I spent the time more determined, trained with my private coach, worked out with the team, and made sure my attitude was the best it could be for the next season.
I am unique in my communication on the field, confidence, and learning through my mistakes. A few dreams that I have are sitting with my mom, dad, and sister signing a commitment for college soccer and reading my class speech at my graduation. Some fun facts about me are that I have a Scottish dad sitting on the sidelines of every game video recording. I am active in track, 4H, a beekeeper, and live on a farm. I have spent three years as a student athletic trainer and work at a local restaurant.
