Teamwork-the combined action of a group of people, especially when effective and efficient. As a soccer player, I believe your team is the most important thing on the field. Individuals can perform well, but you win as a team and you loose as a team. Soccer has always been an important part of my life and I have grown as a person because of it. Your teammates are some of your best friends; you always support one another. I've had girls build me up when I'm down and vise versa. This also helped me to translate this into my community. Madeira, my community, is like a team. We all work together to make our small town a better place, and we all play a part in the change. Soccer is more than just a game. Soccer is like a community, even though I don't know every young women who plays soccer, I respect all of them, and my team is like my family.
I've played soccer since I was three years old. My dream of playing college soccer began in middle school. I just love the game so much and love being a part of something bigger than myself; I love the feeling and rush this game gives you, and I love the amazing people you meet through it. Not to mention the challenges it brings forth physically and mentally. I have a strong technical base and I play with a lot of grit. My goal is to always be one of the hardest workers on the field and to be a driving force on my team. I try to build them up whenever I can and I try to keep us organized and composed. I am a team leader and I am a friend to all. No matter what, I always give 150% and this carries into the classroom. I am a strong academic student who maintains a 3.92 GPA and always works hard; I am always up for a good challenge because challenge makes us grow.
I am open to all levels of the collegiate tier, ultimately, I want to find the college and soccer program that will make me the happiest. I want to play in an environment that will challenge me athletically and academically while making me a better person and player.
