Maddie Tedrick '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Maddie Tedrick and I have been playing soccer ever since I can imagine. I have always aspired to play at the collegiate level and I am willing to put in effort to get there. I am an extremely hard worker and don’t like to do things half way. It’s either all or nothing. 

I am also a very diverse player. I’ve been forced into positions where I’ve had to adapt without an extra practice or warning. I am an extremely fast player and that helps contribute to where I’m most useful on the field. I mostly play as an outside midfielder but I’ve also had to play center mid, forward, and outside forward. I have a good game IQ and am able to make decisions that are helpful to my team and teammates. I’m a good team leader and I’m not afraid to speak up and let me teammates know when we need to pick things up. But, that being said, I also encourage and lift them up when I see that’s what they need. 

I work pretty much all year around to improve my skills and participate in club soccer. I play for Croatia Cleveland Juniors, my high school basketball team, and put in work in the weight lifting room. These all help to exercise different parts of my body and make me into a better athlete. I also volunteer at my church as a teen leader in the 3 year old room.

In the classroom, I have a 4.2 GPA and work hard to maintain a school-life balance. I play two sports full time and work extremely hard to make sure they never affect my school work and grades. I want to attend a college where I can keep up in the classroom while also pushing myself both academically and physically on the soccer field. I want a school that can best fit me as an a student, but am open to all options right now. I want to be able to go to a college where I can use my talents to best glorify God and make my family proud.
