Maria Gomez '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi coaches! I'm Maria, and ever since I can remember soccer has been a part of my life and a way of connecting with my culture. I've been playing soccer at a competitive level since I was nine. Last year, I had the opportunity to travel to Spain and train with a professional club's international academy for two weeks. The experience of being in that type of environment not only made me a better player, but it also reassured me that this was what I wanted to do with my future. It gave me the motivation to work even harder for my dreams every day.

On the field, I'm creative, analytical and love to be challenged. I enjoy using my speed and tactical skills to beat opponents and create goal scoring opportunities. Playing college soccer would give me the opportunity to play at the highest level possible while still keeping up with my studies.
