My name is Cristina Ciofani. I am a midfielder and defender from Ontario, Canada with 10 years of competitive playing experience. I am committed to academic excellence and have consistently achieved a 4.0 GPA throughout my elementary and high school career. I currently play for the Burlington Force Women's U19 Elite Showcase Team (2023 Provincial Champions).
My achievements demonstrate an aptitude for leadership and community service. I earned the Student-Athlete Loyola Hawk Award (2022) which recognizes my excellence and active involvement in the classroom, on the field, and in the school community. I make contributions that exceed expectations, making a difference in the life of the school. In 2022, I was a Co-Captain of the Junior Girls Soccer Team as we clenched the HCAA Championship. In 2022, I also created and presented a Student-Athlete Mental Health Awareness speech to 100+ students and teachers at our annual Athletic Banquet. This presentation was in direct correlation with my advocacy for the importance of mental health among student athletes.
I am committed to not only being the best person and player I can be, but the best teammate I can be. I constantly strive for greater heights and making other players around me even better. I love being apart of a team that contains a sense of pride, joy, and nothing else but love for the game that can bring along so many lifelong connections and relationships.
I also enjoy coaching female youth players, inspiring them to stay involved in sport, and providing them with leadership opportunities so they feel confident in their abilities when similar opportunities arise in their near future! I am currently a Girls Soccer Coach for U4-U5 players at SBFC Academy in Burlington, Ontario.
