Personal Statement

I have been playing soccer since I was four years old. I am a hardworking and ambitious student-athlete.  I am dedicated to seeing not only myself but my teammates thrive. I would like to be a silent leader however my coach has called upon me to be his voice and captain out on the field. Academics are very important to me as I  try to uphold a 3.8 or higher GPA with AP classes.  With my work ethic I believe this will help me maintain my academics and flourish as a collegiate soccer player. I am left foot dominate but I will not hesitate to use my right foot to facilitate indirect or direct passes. I have been a starter throughout my soccer career and majority of these games with no subbing. With my skill level and age, I have been able to play up 2 divisions during club and select. It has been driven into my character to not only gain the trust of my teammates but the respect of my coaching staff.

Yes. The AP courses I have taken throughout my highschool career have been; Pre-AP Comm., AP Biology, AP Langauage and Composition, and Pre-Calc.

Awards and Activities

  • AwardsSome academic achievements I have recieved include: National Honor Society member, ( recently have been appointed as the President of National Honor Society), ASB Representative both 9th and 10th grade years, and a Greehand Officer for FFA 9th grade year as well. Recently this year I have been nominated by many of my teachers around the high school to be a Link Leader. The purpose of a Link Leader is to show the incoming Freshman class around the high school and answer any questions they may have about high school, life, sports, etc. Going back to middle school I was elected class president by my 8th grade peers and by teacher recommendations.
  • ActivitiesI love staying involved in my community. For the past six summers I helped at iCanBike camp which is a camp for kids with diasabilties and within a week we teach them how to ride a bike by themselves. I help at PTO meetings wherever needed, babysit multiple families children, house/dogsit for many people. Also, I have volunteered in the nursery for our church and helped during the summer with Vacation Bible School. With my leadership team both in high school and in middle school we attended the OASC leadership camps to find bigger and better ways to be involved with our schools and communites. Lastly, I shadow a Veterinarian at the Oregon Trail Vet Clinic in Hermiston to get an idea of what I will be doing when I go to college.
