I am a sophomore in high school in Portland, Oregon. I am a keeper on my high school varsity team and my ECNL soccer team, as well as nationally ranked in taekwondo sparring. I feel I have grown in many ways in this past year. I have a GPA of 3.9 and my goal for high school is to graduate with a GPA of 3.8 or higher. Since beginning high school, I have worked to make varsity as a freshman and sophomore in high school, where our team made it to the quarterfinals in the state championships. While preparing for high school, I also trained for the US National Championships in taekwondo, where I placed 5th in the nation. I feel like my taekwondo compliments my goalie training very well with increased speed and coordination. This last year was an experience that helped me grow as a student-athlete. I take a number of advanced classes, and I had to study hard to keep my grades strong. I have been successful and have proven to myself that I will be successful at high levels being a student-athlete on a college team, as well as a serious student.
I have been fortunate to have played on my old ECNL team as they are an amazing team, ranked as high as 25th in the nation in 2018, and winning two regional tournaments, the Crossfire Challenge in Seattle and Surf Cup in San Diego. While I was playing on this team I learned the importance of teamwork, dedication, confidence, and leadership. On my new ECNL team, I have gained a lot of confidence and been taking leadership roles. I’m looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically, as well as academically. I believe that I not only have the skill to compete for a college team, but the attitude, work ethic, and leadership skills to make an impact on your program. As a two-sport athlete and hardworking player, I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team!Statistic | 2018 Varsity Team |
