A word people most commonly use to describe me is tenacious. This statement could not be more accurate for more than one reason. I have an extremely strong passion for soccer and have since I started playing in pre-school. I play for the 07, and 06 ECNL girls at FC Delco. As a freshman in high school, I made the varsity soccer team and loved meeting upperclassmen and learning new skills from them. For most, being a goalkeeper is a frightening position and as my dad says, it takes a certain type of person to do it. On the field, I am aggressive, vocal, focused, and prepared for anything. I am quick to make decisions and charge off my line in 1v1 situations. Not only am I driven on the field, but also in the classroom. Like a lot of student-athletes experience, balancing your sport and classes can be challenging. However, one of my best qualities is organization. Making lists and staying on top of my work has never been a struggle for me. I have very good grades in all my classes and truly enjoy learning new things. I will be enrolled in honors English, history, and Spanish in the next school year and am looking forward to challenging myself as I apply for more advanced classes. During the school week, I wake up at 6 AM every morning and go to the gym to work out and train. After school, my afternoons consist of practices, private goalie training, or private workout sessions. I am always striving to be better than the day before and work hard toward becoming a D1 goalie. When looking at colleges, my aim is D1 programs with challenging and well-constructed academics. Academics are just as important to me as athletics and I am looking for a school that can provide both. I love to push myself and am not afraid to take risks.
