My name is Ava Santorelli. I attended Freedom High School in Bethlehem Pennsylvania for my freshman year as well as part of my sophomore year. I recently transferred to Notre Dame High School and I am loving the change. I just started my Junior Year . I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old. I have been on a competitive club team for the last 7 years . I grew up loving and having passion for the sport of soccer. We are a big soccer family.
My Freshman year as well as my Sophomore year and now my junior year at Notre Dame , I have earned my spot as a starting varsity player for my high school team as well as my club team. My primary position is as a striker. However I was also put in to win balls as an attacking and defending midfield player. Early on I also spent time as a sweeper. So I consider myself well versed in defense and offence. My dominant foot is right. My motto is it is better to be a ball winner then a ball watcher. I believe my strengths are my technical skills, my aggressiveness, determination and drive to win balls. I also have good field vision and I am an accurate passer. I pride myself on being a team player and a good leader and communicator on the field.
My academics are also very important and I plan to challenge myself with more honor classes . I am looking for a college that promotes academics and athletic opportunities and understands the importance of fostering the student athlete.
