I started playing youth soccer when I was 4 years old, and then moved onto premier soccer with FC Revolution at 9 years old where I have played ever since. I also played for EPYSA ODP my U16 year. I am passionate about soccer and participate in many training sessions outside my scheduled team practices in order to improve my skills. Probably one of the biggest obstacles I had in soccer was overcoming a shoulder injury that required surgery when I was 12 years old. The injury occurred at the beginning of my last spring season with my team before the US Youth Soccer age requirements would involve me moving up an age group. So I was coming off an injury into a brand new team with a different style of play, and at the same time trying to regain my fitness. This challenge taught me a lot about myself as a person and a player, and what I am capable of achieving. Through a lot of hard work I was able to get back on the pitch three months early, and I came back to a team that has since become like family.
When it comes to choosing a college, I would like to go to a midsize to smaller size school. Ideally I would like to stay within a 5-6 hour drive from my home, although I am willing to consider all opportunities. My academics are important to me, and I’m looking for a team that has that same focus. My career choices are in the healthcare field, possibly nursing or sports medicine. My athletic goal is to play collegiate soccer and be able to make a contribution to the team early in my career.
