I am currently a senior that will graduate in 2023, and I plan on partaking in the ROTC program in college. I grew up in a small "coal region" town, which instilled a hardworking and dedicated attitude in me every since I was younger. Since sixth grade, I drove an hour to an from practices twice a week and an hour plus to games every weekend. I will play any position that my coach asks me, and if there is something I need to improve on, I will work tirelessly until I improve my skill because I know that it will help the team. I am a very team-oriented player, always looking for ways to help my teammates. In February 2021, I was told I needed surgery on my knee. My tibia was out of alignment due to a fracture I sustained four months prior that was never treated. I played on my broken leg for those four months, which made the injury even worse. This caused me to miss my club spring season and my junior high school season. Despite this, I was at every practice and game, I was the loudest player on the bench, always congratulating my teammates and picking them up when they were down. I tried to help the younger players that were confused about their position and tried to help the then seniors with situations they would come across on the field. I worked and worked to get back to play. I always note that I am a student athlete, emphasis on student. I put my academics first, and I believe that excelling in the classroom will translate to excelling on the field. I am currently first in my class and plan on attending a college that will challenge me both academically and athletically.
