Lara Soto '24 Recruiting Profile

As an athlete student, my academic goals are to complete my college studies in natural science and then continue medicine and specialize in orthopedics. At the athletic level, give the team and the program all the experience that I have acquired during these last years belonging to the Puerto Rico National Soccer Team programs since 2019. When I was 13 years old I was part of the U-14 Puerto Rico Soccer National Team that competed in the Caribbean Football Union Tournament and then being selected as a member of the U-17 Puerto Rico National Team who competed in the CONCACAF Women’s Championship in DR, in which I wasn’t able to compete due to a last-minute injury (medical recommendation). I consider myself an excellent candidate since I currently belong to the high-performance program at the specialized sports school at the Albergue Olimpico and this gives me the necessary training to maintain a high level while maintaining my academic balance. I always focus on giving my best and doing the right thing no matter the results. At an athletic level, I maintain excellent physical condition due to my training. On the field of play, I keep my focus on teamwork and evaluate every movement with or without the ball. Last but not least, I always take into account what my parents tell me " always do things right regardless of the result, but don't try to do the wrong thing and try to make it work ”.
