Hi, my name is Shelby McCutchen and I would like to introduce myself. I am 17 years old and a senior at Berkeley High School in Moncks Corner, SC. I play varsity soccer for Berkeley High School and club for CUSC. I played on the JV team in 7th and 8th grade and have been on varsity since 9th grade. My dream to play college soccer has grown throughout the years. I realize the effort and determination that is needed to succeed. I plan to give my all to reach this goal.
I am pretty fast, with quick feet and good passing skills. I consider myself a team player and a team leader. I try to set a good example on and off the field and give encouragement and motivation to my teammates. I am coachable and always give 100%. I am always working at becoming a better player.
I am a very good student and take my education very seriously. I plan on majoring in Early Childhood Education. I am ranked 32 out of 400 students with a 4.3 GPA, where I take Honors and AP courses. I am actively involved in school clubs; BETA Club, SGA, SIA, Key Club, Math Club, and National Honors Society. I also volunteer at the Elementary School in the special education classes.
I plan to consider colleges that are a good match with me academically and athletically. I am very passionate about soccer and feel that I can manage academics and soccer.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me!
