My name is Sydney Kurtz from West Central High School in Hartford, SD. My high school team has won 3 State Soccer Championship Titles (2016-2017-2018). I was named offensive player of the 2017 state championship game, named to the 2017 and 2018 All State Class A Soccer Team and was voted most valuable player of the 2017 and 2018 season by my team. I led our team in goals in 2017 scoring 14 goals and in 2018 scoring 17 goals. It is my goal to play college soccer and continue in this great sport. I also run Track with a 6th place finish at the 2017 State Track Meet in the 200, 4x2 State Champions, 4x1 State Runners Up and 4x4 State Runners Up.
I was injured the 2018 track season so got a slow start. The highlight was qualifying for the state track meet in Long Jump.
During my years of playing, I have discovered how important it is to play as a team and how to be a coachable athlete. I have played a variety of positions as needed by my team. My best athletic attributes are my speed, agility and visual awareness of the field. I can get up the field quickly and am comfortable and capable of kicking the ball with either foot.
My academic goals are to study Dental Hygiene and possibly go to Dental School for Dentistry.
